Douglas D. Hawkes

Douglas D. Hawkes joined Hansen, Barnett & Maxwell, P.C. in 1978. By exhibiting his knowledge and expertise in financial reporting and auditing, he gained recognition in the firm and in the community. Doug became an audit manager in 1981, an associate in 1988 and was admitted as a shareholder in the firm in January 1990. Doug has served a wide variety of clients in industries ranging from construction, manufacturing, mining and oil and gas to technology, financial services and many others. Doug has served as the firm’s director of SEC reporting, is the concurring reviewer on several financial reporting clients for the firm and serves as the engagement partner on audits of many public and private clients, including audits of financial statements that have been included in numerous registration statements and private placement offerings. Doug is currently a member of the firm’s executive committee and is serving as its chief financial officer.

Doug graduated from Brigham Young University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. Doug is licensed as a certified public accountant in several states, is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants.

Doug served on the peer review acceptance bodies of the Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing and the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants. Throughout his professional carrier, Doug has been actively involved in the community and has served in several capacities in community and religious organizations.
