Paul O. Skeen

Paul Skeen is an Audit partner. Paul has over 10 years experience in public accounting.  During that time he has been involved in all aspects of financial and compliance audits.  Paul’s experience and background include SEC filings, software development, construction, manufacturing, resort operations and utility providers. Paul has special expertise in working with companies who have public ownership and working with registration statements and public offerings.  Paul also has extensive experience conducting audits under the Government Auditing Standards (Yellow Book), and State of Utah Compliance.  Over the past several years Paul has primarily focused on public companies and governmental entities.

Paul is involved in the recruiting of professional staff and providing a uniform training program for the new hires of the firm’s audit staff.

Paul graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and in 1998 with a Master in Professional Accountancy - Audit/Financial from Weber State University.  Paul is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants (UACPA).

Paul has been active in leadership with The UACPA.  He is currently serving on the Executive Board as the Treasurer. He was a founding member of the organization’s “Emerging CPAs” committee that serves the unique needs of those entering the accounting profession.  He has also served as the chair of the Continuing Professional Education Approval Committee which has been charged with implementing new standards for the continuing education of all CPA’s in the State of Utah.
