Preston M. Eichers

Preston Eichers is an audit and tax principal.  He has over 30 years experience in public accounting, which include many years in assurance, tax and consulting services.  Preston is currently serving as the Director of Tax Services for the firm.  He recently completed a five year term as the firm’s President and Chief Executive Officer.  

Preston currently works with a broad variety of clients in both the public and private sectors, as well as with governmental and not for profit clients.  He has a unique background of both audit and tax, being able to serve and manage clients in both of these areas.

Industry Experience

Preston's three years of industry experience was with the Salt Lake Clinic.  He served as the Director of Finance for the clinic during those years and also served as trustee for the two clinic retirement plans.  He supervised 30 people in the accounting, patient and insurance billing and data processing departments.  During his tenure at the clinic, the clinic had 55 physicians on its staff and approximately 125 employees.  Also during his tenure at the Clinic, he was in charge of the analysis that led to the Clinic purchasing its first in house computerized patient billing system.

US Military Service

Preston retired after 21 years of serving in the United States Army Reserve Medical Service Corp.  During his 21 years in the army, he was called to active duty in support of Desert Shield / Desert Storm, while he was assigned to the 328th General Hospital, Ft. Douglas, Utah.  This is a 1,000 bed general hospital.  During his sixteen years assigned to this hospital, he served as the Unit Headquarters Commander, as a special assistant to the Chief of Nursing Services, the Supply Officer and the Property Book Officer.   Preston also served for five years in the 143rd Medical Detachment, a dental field unit, where he was the administrative officer for 15 dentists and 45 support personnel.
