Ross L. Youngberg

Ross L. Youngberg is an assurance (audit) principal with the firm and the firm's principal in charge of the assurance department.   The assurance department includes providing financial auditing as well other levels of services such as reviews and compilations of financial statements and agreed-upon procedures; whatever helps meet the client's internal or external needs and requirements.  Ross ' experience extends for many years and includes service in the not-for-profit, government, public company and private company areas of auditing and business consulting. Ross has special expertise in working with not-for-profit and governmental entities and is the firm expert in this area.  Ross has spent many years serving clients and consulting with them to improve their business processes. 

Ross graduated in 1976 from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.  Ross is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants (UACPA).    Ross is also licensed to practice in Nevada, Wyoming and Maryland.

Ross is a peer reviewer of other CPA firms under the AICPA's peer review program.  Firms under this program are required to undergo a review of their accounting and auditing practice by a peer every three years.  It requires a reviewer to maintain a high level of expertise in the profession in order to review another firm's accounting and auditing practice and to provide meaningful insight into improving adherence to the high standards of the profession. These reviews are principally conducted with firms located in the western United States.
